About

My name is Neely.

I'm a 30-something lady living with my amazing husband, 2 sons and 2 dogs.

We have a German Shepherd  and a Yellow Lab.

My oldest son has Down syndrome and that's part of why I started this blog. I feel like through him God has taught us a lot about life (with a LOT left to learn). I'm sure I will probably share a lot of things about him and the things I've learned and am learning as well.

I'm a photographer (www.neelysphotography.com). I love God, my family, graphic design, and photography. Also, Apple products, baking (but not necessarily cooking), hiking, camping, being outdoors, and reading.

I love all things boho, outdoorsy, and vintage. Coffee is pretty important, too. I'd rather wear a pair of jeans and my Vans than a dress and heels. (It's important to dress practically just in case of the zombie apocalypse. ;) )

I am like 98% of American women in that I love Fall and all things pumpkin spice.

I love laughing and being goofy. I have a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor. If you ever read anything and you're unsure if I'm being sarcastic or serious, just assume sarcastic and you'll be right probably 99% of the time.

January 2015, I started searching for a bible to write notes in as I studied.

I wanted to start the year off on a good foot, trying to spend more time with God. During the search for the bible, I also stumbled across Illustrated Faith. I bought a journaling bible and started journaling in it in February 2015.

It has been such a blessing to me in so many ways. I want to use this blog to share my pages and hopefully in sharing my journey, I can speak to someone else as well.

I love relating to others through journaling and faith. I'd love to meet you. Find me on Instagram at @neelysphoto
